Well trained in classical ballet from the age of six for nine years. Also studied jazz dance and modern dance and Balinese classical dance. In July 1993 began study of classical Odissi dance under Ms. Saeko Hamada, a student of Smt. Madhavi Mudgal.

She has been trained in the rare Mahari style by US based eminent dancer Dr.Ratna Roy, the closest disciple of Padmashree Late Guru Pankaj Charan Das.

In October 2000, training of Odissi from Orissa Dance Academy by learned teachers like Smt.Rojalin Mohapatra and Sri Lingaraj Swain under the guidance of internationally famous Padmashree Guru Gangadhar Pradhan. She continues to hone her skills.

She also runs Odissi school in her hometown Osaka and Kobe, She has performed in many of Japan and also many places in Orissa.

In August 2002, Passed the examination for the diploma of Nrutya Prabha in Odissi Dance from Orissa Dance Academy.
